Man is his own Satan just as man is his own salvation.

It is important to see that Lucifer, as I am using this term, describes an angel, a being, a great and mighty planetary consciousness. It does not describe that popular thought-form of Satan who seeks to lead man down the path of sin and wrongdoing. That is a human creation, and yet it is a creation that has some validity but represent the collective thought-form of all those negative energies which man has built up and created.

Often out of what appears to be great selfishness and self-centredness great light emerges.

If one can approach this collective thought-form with love, without fear, then one can go beyond this shadow and see the true angel of light [Lucifer] that is there seeking to bring light to man's inner world.

Lucifer comes to give to us the final gift of wholeness. If we accept it then he is free and we are free. That is the Luciferic initiation. It is one that many people now, and in the days ahead, will be facing, for it is an initiation into the New Age. It is an initiation of leaving the past and moving into the new, shedding our guilts and fears, our anxieties, our needs, our temptations, and becoming whole and at peace because we have recognized our inner light and the light that enfolds us, the light of God.

The true birth of the Christ was not the birth of Jesus. Jesus was an individual who himself had to recapitulate certain stages. He built upon the pattern the Buddha had established. I do not suggest by this that he was a Buddhist, although mystery teachings do tell us that he did journey to India, and spent a great deal of time studying with the Buddhists. But he himself had to become awakened. He had to in his consciousness touch this Christ pattern.

That background may place what people at Findhorn are doing in some perspective. They are evolving a group Christ. They are, by demonstrating a new civilization, a new way of doing things, preforming the Christ function of drawing that same awareness out of the world. So in a very real sense Findhorn represents the Second Coming. Any individual, any centre, who so embodies the new that it becomes a magnetic source to draw the new out of the rest of the world, also embodies the Second Coming.

Now comes the time to become the servants of evolution and through our own consciousness to release the light, the love, the wisdom that will bring our renunciation of spiritual estate to its fruition in the <strong>occult redemption</strong> of the world.

It is necessary for the fulfilment of man's destiny, whatever that destiny may be in its fullness and no human consciousness is presently aware of it in its fullness, that <strong>man free himself from the group consciousness of the will of God</strong> as it manifests through nature, or the instinctive consciousness.

In Christian ... and in Judaic symbolism, it is said that man ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and as a consequence was banished from Eden. This is considered a fall, but esoterically it is not considered so.

In Christian teachings the Christ is seen as a divine being, literally God in incarnation, who came to take upon himself the sins of humanity, and by becoming the scapegoat for humanity he paved the way for our salvation through the shedding of his blood and so forth. This is only partially true and it represents a certain interpretation of the Christ life which was grafted on after the fact.

That which Christ is most remembered for is not his life nor indeed his attunement to divinity nor indeed anything that he manifested as representative of the potentials within humanity, but he is best remembered as being a sacrificial lamb.

Each of us is contained within a vast spiritual livingness, living presence. This is spoken of in the New Testament as, 'He in whom we live and move and have our being.' Jesus was actually asking us to be 'fishers of God', for that is the realized divine human state: 'I am attuned, I am one with the whole.'

When you are aware of your motivations and you follow them, you are being yourself. When you are one with the will of God you are simply being yourself to an even greater degree, a much more transcendent extend.
