It was actually probably the happiest year of my life - that year of German occupation. For me it was a very positive experience its a strange thing - you see incredible suffering around you, and in fact you are in considerable danger your self, but your fourteen years old and you don’t believe that it can actually touch you, you have belief in your self and a belief in your father, it’s a very happy making, exhilarating experience.

I want to bring home the idea that the war on terror is a terrible mistaken false metaphor that brings terrible results. thats a difficult point to get across because now everyone knows that the invasion of Iraq was a terrible mistake, but people still think on both sides of the political spectrum in terms on the war on terror, and I would like to undermine, or repudiate that metaphor.
