The breakin and spy attempt by republicans on the democratic presidential canidate Hubert Humphrey. This act ended up with the resignation of Richard Nixon.

After the Watergate burglars were arrested their money sources were investigated. In there bank account was $25,000 dollars which was given by Andreas. A point of interest was that burglars were looking for information that could be damning to Nixon’s opponent Hubert Humphrey. Andreas and Humphrey were supposed good friends and had known each other for years, and had promoted food aid programs together.
