Started 2008-11-06Ended 2008-11-06
Interviewer Mike Clark asks Kenyan Ambassador Peter Ogego “President-elect Obama’s birthplace over in Kenya, is that going to be a national spot to go visit, where he was born?”
Ogego responds: “It’s already an attraction. His paternal grandmother is still alive” but that he was not sure about putting a marker there because that would “depend on the government. It’s already well known”

In an earlier radio interview Mike Clark asked Peter Ogego if Obama’s birth place would have a national marker put up. Ogego responded that he did not know because it would be up to the local government but it was “already well known” because his paternal grandmother is still alive.
The Kenyan Embassy said that ambassador Ogego that though Clark was asking about Obama’s father not the newly elected president, but this is refuted because Clark clearly asks about “President-elect Obama’s birthplace over in Kenya”. Also when Ogego responds he says Obama’s paternal grandmother is still alive who is also reported to have seen Obama’s birth in Kenya.
