Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled!
Of these the most influential is what is called "education." Religion plays a part, though a diminishing one; the press, the cinema, and the radio play an increasing part. What is essential in mass psychology is the art of persuasion. If you compare a speech of Hitler's with a speech of Edmund Burke, you will see what strides have been made in the art since the eighteenth century. What went wrong formerly was that people had read in books that man is a rational animal, and framed their arguments on this hypothesis. We now know that limelight and a brass band do more to persuade than can be done by the most elegant train of syllogisms. It may be hoped that in time anybody will be able to persuade anybody of anything if the can catch the patient young and is provided by the State with money and equipment. - Bertrand Russell

Started 2008-11-06Ended 2008-11-06
Interviewer Mike Clark asks Kenyan Ambassador Peter Ogego “President-elect Obama’s birthplace over in Kenya, is that going to be a national spot to go visit, where he was born?”

Ogego responds: “It’s already an attraction. His paternal grandmother is still alive” but that he was not sure about putting a marker there because that would “depend on the government. It’s already well known”
Kenyan Embassy Says Ambassador Peter Ogego Was Talking About Obama’s Father
Started 2008-11-25Ended 2008-11-25
In an earlier radio interview Mike Clark asked Peter Ogego if Obama’s birth place would have a national marker put up. Ogego responded that he did not know because it would be up to the local government but it was “already well known” because his paternal grandmother is still alive.

The Kenyan Embassy said that ambassador Ogego that though Clark was asking about Obama’s father not the newly elected president, but this is refuted because Clark clearly asks about “President-elect Obama’s birthplace over in Kenya”. Also when Ogego responds he says Obama’s paternal grandmother is still alive who is also reported to have seen Obama’s birth in Kenya.
