Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled!
The victor will not be asked afterwards whether he told the truth or not. When starting and waging war it is not right that matters, but victory. Close your hearts to pity. Act brutally. - Adolf Hitler

The universe is put together by divine reason. Man is privileged to emulate the Great Architect by ordering his small world according to the rational faculty with which he has been endowed. The compass of reason when rejected, leaves the individual adrift in a stormy ocean.

History
On an unspecified Friday in June 1979:
Robert C. Christian walks into Elberton Granite Finishing company stating he represented a “small group of loyal Americans” that wanted to erect monument.

The owner after hearing what Mr. Christian, and him asking for a trustworthy banker he pointed him to Wyatte Martin of the Granite City Bank.

Mr. Christian goes to the Granite City Bank and tells Martin that he wants the bank to hold money for payment of the guidestone project until completion, and that he would be back the next Monday after finding a place for the monument via plane. He also tells Martin that Robert C. Christian was a pseudonym, and that the stone structure had been planed by his secret group for 20 years.

Christian returns to the granite company with wooden model in a shoebox, and around 10 pages of specifications on how the monument should be built.

Following Monday:
Christian returns to the bank to explain that everything needed to be secret and non-traceable. Martin had to sign an agreement saying that he would never tell the true identity of Mr. Christian, and that once the monument was built all documents were to be destroyed. Christian also stated that the payments would be made from many different banks.

Following Friday:
Martin calls Fendley stating that a ten thousand dollar deposit had been received. Fendley begins working on the monument.

Unspecified:
Christian, Fendley and Martin buy the land for the monument. Once this was finalized Mr. Christian tells Fendley that ’You’ll never see me again.’ and walks away. Correspondence from that point were to Martin only and were sent via mail from different cities so that the location of Christian could never be known.

Charlie Clamp the sandblaster that carved the letters onto the stones stated he would constantly hear ’strange music and disjointed voices’ as he worked.

Martin and Christian kept writing letters, and even met and ate together from time to time. Martin states that Christian stopped writing around the 911 terror attacks. When Martin is asked about the Luciferian theme of the guidestones says that he is not sure, but that Mr. Christian seemed very nice.
